Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist and stand for extended periods
  • Experience working with sharp knives, utensils and hot plates
  • Capacity to work in hot environments
  • Effective communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Comfortably converse with customers

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
  • Ensure highest quality of service to customers and associates
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation in compliance with HACCP standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment and handle food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
