Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist and stand for extended periods
- Experience working with sharp knives, utensils and hot plates
- Capacity to work in hot environments
- Effective communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
- Experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Comfortably converse with customers
Job Duties
- Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
- Communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
- Ensure highest quality of service to customers and associates
- Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
- Practice excellent food safety and sanitation in compliance with HACCP standards
- Operate kitchen equipment and handle food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding
- Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
