Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience in food and beverage
- valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- excellent attendance record
- strong communication and leadership skills
- ability to operate POS systems and handle cash transactions
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- legal working authorization in the hiring jurisdiction
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment
- ability to supervise the work of others
- ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner
- ability to speak, read and write in English
- ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
- ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory
Job Duties
- Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors
- provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in the smooth, efficient and profitable execution of events
- train new and current employees regarding property procedure and best practices
- cover or back-up any open position to assure location is fully operational and meets company standards
- ensure work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination
- ensure event staff and volunteers are aware of workplace expectations and provide ongoing assistance, training and mentoring
- supervise the service of beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages and check guest IDs
- assist in recording guest orders and relaying them to the kitchen via POS system
- observe guests to respond to additional requests and determine meal completion
- compute cost of meals, accept payments and provide change
- recommend dishes and explain menu items
- maintain sanitation, health and safety standards
- assure location equipment is operable and clean
- recognize visibly intoxicated guests and take appropriate action
- enforce all company policies and procedures
- practice excellent human resources skills including employee relations, corrective action, coaching and counseling
- assist management with projects including training, inventory and special events
- perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
