Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience in food and beverage
  • valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • excellent attendance record
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • ability to operate POS systems and handle cash transactions
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
  • legal working authorization in the hiring jurisdiction

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment
  • ability to supervise the work of others
  • ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner
  • ability to speak, read and write in English
  • ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
  • ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors
  • provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in the smooth, efficient and profitable execution of events
  • train new and current employees regarding property procedure and best practices
  • cover or back-up any open position to assure location is fully operational and meets company standards
  • ensure work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination
  • ensure event staff and volunteers are aware of workplace expectations and provide ongoing assistance, training and mentoring
  • supervise the service of beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages and check guest IDs
  • assist in recording guest orders and relaying them to the kitchen via POS system
  • observe guests to respond to additional requests and determine meal completion
  • compute cost of meals, accept payments and provide change
  • recommend dishes and explain menu items
  • maintain sanitation, health and safety standards
  • assure location equipment is operable and clean
  • recognize visibly intoxicated guests and take appropriate action
  • enforce all company policies and procedures
  • practice excellent human resources skills including employee relations, corrective action, coaching and counseling
  • assist management with projects including training, inventory and special events
  • perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
