Job Requirements
- Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
- Current BLS Certification or willingness to obtain through in-house training
- Minimum one year experience in physician's office or medical facility preferred
- Exceptions allowed for externship or residency program participants with active or pending WA DOH MA-R certification within seven days of hire
- For Idaho positions, current CMA certification by recognized bodies
- WA state MA-C or MA-R license with endorsement by Indigo within first 30 days
- Ability to work flexible 12-hour day shifts between 8am-8pm
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Strong organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) license or Current CMA certification by AAMA, NHA or NCCT for Idaho positions
- Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain through in-house training
- Minimum one year of experience in a physician's office or medical facility preferred
- Completion of externship or residency program with active or pending WA DOH MA-R certification may be accepted
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate well within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Knowledge of ethical patient care practices
Job Duties
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, front office staff and clinic management to ensure comprehensive health care outcomes
- Perform a variety of functions within the clinic setting requiring specialized knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data
- Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
- Create and provide a safe and supportive environment for patients
- Support clinic operations through excellent patient customer service and clinic management assistance
- Assist with patient intake and clinical assessments within license scope
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with confidentiality standards
