Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a kitchen environment especially in a supervisory capacity preferred
  • ability to work a full-time schedule Monday through Friday with variable hours
  • capability to handle physical demands of kitchen work
  • willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations
  • strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of prior sous chef experience preferred but not required
  • strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes
  • experience in managing kitchen staff and operations
  • effective communication and organizational abilities
  • commitment to maintaining high-quality food production and service

Job Duties

  • Supervises cooks and kitchen associates engaged in preparing, cooking, and serving food
  • ensures food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards are met
  • manages scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and disciplinary actions
  • prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes
  • ensures proper food presentation, quality, portion control, and serving temperatures
  • tracks food usage, waste, and consumption to manage inventory
  • maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and workstations
  • helps select and develop recipes and menus
