Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • no prior loadmaster experience required
  • ability to pass FAA background checks and drug screening
  • physical ability to handle demanding manual tasks
  • valid driver's license
  • ability to work in extreme weather and remote locations
  • flexible availability to work variable schedules

Job Qualifications

  • background in cargo handling, logistics, or weight and balance
  • strong attention to detail and safety focus
  • physically strong and able to work in challenging conditions
  • ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
  • proficient in operating ground equipment like forklifts and K-loaders
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and on-call periods

Job Duties

  • load, secure, and document cargo adhering to FAA regulations and company policies
  • calculate aircraft weight and balance to ensure safe flight
  • operate or direct forklift and ground equipment for cargo loading
  • supervise cargo build-up and inspect hazardous materials
  • monitor cargo hold during flight for shifts or issues
  • manage unloading process in remote locations
  • complete final weight and balance paperwork for captain approval
