Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- no prior loadmaster experience required
- ability to pass FAA background checks and drug screening
- physical ability to handle demanding manual tasks
- valid driver's license
- ability to work in extreme weather and remote locations
- flexible availability to work variable schedules
Job Qualifications
- background in cargo handling, logistics, or weight and balance
- strong attention to detail and safety focus
- physically strong and able to work in challenging conditions
- ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
- proficient in operating ground equipment like forklifts and K-loaders
- excellent communication and teamwork skills
- willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and on-call periods
Job Duties
- load, secure, and document cargo adhering to FAA regulations and company policies
- calculate aircraft weight and balance to ensure safe flight
- operate or direct forklift and ground equipment for cargo loading
- supervise cargo build-up and inspect hazardous materials
- monitor cargo hold during flight for shifts or issues
- manage unloading process in remote locations
- complete final weight and balance paperwork for captain approval
