Job Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
  • must have current driver’s license with no violations over past 5 years
  • forklift certification preferred
  • must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • must be able to speak, read and write in English proficiently
  • must pass Department of Airports driver’s test and obtain driver’s license to drive on Airport Operational Area
  • must pass FBI background check and obtain custom seal
  • must be able to lift at least 75 pounds continuously
  • must pass pre-employment medical and drug test

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Read air waybill, bills of lading or freight manifest to determine items to be moved, convey freight from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas with forklift or transporter, sort and place materials on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence, sort and store dangerous goods in proper area, fill requisitions, work orders or requests and distribute items to other locations, open bales, crates and other containers for break down, record counts of items received or distributed, weigh and count items for distribution to ensure conformance to standards, perform cargo build-ups and breakdowns of freight on skids, pallets or ULDs, ensure work areas are clean and hazard free, practice all company safety policies including wearing PPE and safe operation of equipment and vehicles, perform other duties as assigned
