Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 100 lbs above one’s head
  • Must practice proper lifting techniques as described in department training
  • Must be neat in appearance
  • Experience as bus person preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Is fluent on Microsoft Office software products, and is viewed as an outstanding team player
  • Able to work overnight and weekends is required
  • Is able to work in smoke filled environment, and is able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board

Job Duties

  • Consistently demonstrate superior customer service skills to external and internal guests by displaying Family Style Service behaviors and Family Style Service skills
  • Maintain upbeat, positive attitude, friendly and helpful demeanor, positive energy and enthusiasm from one interaction to the next
  • Utilize smiles and frequent eye contact and friendly tone of voice to project warmth and friendliness
  • Create an atmosphere of luck and celebrate customer wins
  • Be ready to serve and well informed of daily facility hours of operation, promotional programs and any other relevant valuable guest information
  • Build relationships by greeting guests with a warm, friendly verbal greeting
  • Anticipate needs of the guest and provide fast, flawless service
  • Execute all service programs to assure prioritization of service to very best guests
  • Check for satisfaction and properly use the Service Recovery process to resolve problems when they exist
  • Promote Caesars Rewards programs and Caesars Rewards registration and membership
  • Provide a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting
  • Promote Harrah’s and always project Harrah’s in a positive light to guests
  • Obtain supplies and equipment for each bar and place liquors, fruits, glasses, linen or silverware in their respective places
  • Slice and pit fruit and fill ice bins with cubed or crushed ice from the ice machine in the kitchen area
  • Wash and dry beverage glasses for the bartender and carry away all the debris accumulated at the bar, tables or counter areas
  • Replace beverage inventory as needed
  • Wipe counter areas, bar and tables and empty and wipe ash trays guests may be using
  • Assist bartenders in setting up service bars and portable bars
  • Maintain all aspects of the Beverage Control System, including daily mechanical maintenance
  • Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines and as outlined in CARE certification
  • Deep clean all service wells and self serve units on a regular basis
  • Understand and be responsible for all recycling, trash removal procedures
  • Comply with all use of chemicals as laid out in department training
  • Operate pressure washer, perform preventive maintenance on Ecolab glass washers according to department training
  • Transport equipment and beverage stock carefully and accept all new training and supervisor instructions for shift requirements
