Job Requirements
- Must hold or obtain TABC card
- Updated driver's license
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to lift 35 pounds unaided
- Ability to carry and balance a tray with 5 entree plates on the shoulder
- Ability to hear and speak using a two-way radio
- Must be able to work independently without active management
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
- Supervisory experience with POS systems preferred
- Minimum of 2 years banquet service experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a bartender in a banquet environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Effective leadership and communication skills
- Thorough understanding of banquet industry standards and fine dining service
- Knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and applicable laws
- Demonstrated cash handling and POS operation accuracy
- Strong commitment to exemplary customer service
- Ability to lead and train staff
- Ability to read, understand, and implement ASM Standards of Service and Banquet Event Orders
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, team-building, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take/follow directions and remain flexible
Job Duties
- Communicate with coworkers and supervisors effectively and appropriately
- Conduct pre-shift and menu meetings, giving clear and concise instructions
- Direct banquet servers and bartenders during events to ensure ASM Standards of Service are met
- Supervise banquet servers in completing weekly and monthly side work and daily setup tasks
- Control and track inventory of beer, wine, liquor, and non-alcoholic beverages at service stations and storage areas
- Setup, operate, and close Points of Sale including system updates, account settlements, and deposit processing according to ASM Cash Handling Policy
- Train new and existing servers and bartenders to maintain LCC standards of service
- Attend meetings with catering, kitchen, and event staff
- Complete concise and informative event reports following events
- Serve as a contact point for guest complaints and resolve or escalate as needed
