Job Requirements
- 1 year of procurement experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Comfortable making cold calls
- Ability to follow established protocols and procedures
- Proficient with operating systems and databases
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- At least 1 year of procurement experience
- Preferred 1 year of transportation experience
- Preferred 2 years of sales or customer service experience
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Participate in a 6-week customer project during peak season
- Cultivate strong core carrier relationships while negotiating and securing carriers
- Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers
- Ensure all parties are informed of route changes, delays, and freight concerns
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointment times using discretion and insight
- Follow established protocols regarding high-value and high-risk shipments
- Maintain and update information in operating systems
- Conduct research for potential leads and make cold calls
- Track billing and invoicing to ensure accuracy
