Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years stewarding management experience
  • Previous experience in a unionized hotel environment preferred
  • Ability to oversee large teams and delegate tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with inventory management and sanitation protocols
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years stewarding management experience at a hotel
  • Experience managing a union stewarding team preferred
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards and food service equipment maintenance
  • Ability to manage budgets and forecast financial performance
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Assist in the management of all stewarding operations including inventory management, maintenance of sanitation and cleanliness standards, systems management, budget and forecasting, health inspections, safety initiatives, report generation, department management, meeting participation and facilitation, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability
  • Implement, oversee and ensure compliance with all sanitation standards and procedures
  • Ensure food service equipment is secure, maintained and optimally functional
  • Maintain inventory control, daily coordination and distribution of china, glassware, linen and silver
  • Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance including providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counselling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward
