Job Requirements
- graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major in dietetics food and nutrition food service management nutrition education or related field
- three years full-time experience in institutional or commercial food service management
- valid and current food safety certification (servsafe) from a nationally recognized food safety program
- ability to counsel train and evaluate staff
- strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- experience in administrative and budgetary processes relevant to food service management
Job Qualifications
- graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major in dietetics food and nutrition food service management nutrition education or related field
- three years of full-time experience in institutional or commercial food service management
- experience managing or assisting in managing large-scale food service programs in a school district desirable
- dietician license may substitute one year of required experience
- knowledge of federal state and county regulations related to school nutrition programs
Job Duties
- assist in planning and organizing district-wide food service programs
- direct and review food service operations to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- develop nutritional programs that meet National School Lunch requirements
- counsel, train, and evaluate performance of department staff
- collaborate with administrators, supervisors, and coordinators to manage personnel and processes
- ensure food safety and public health standards are maintained
- oversee administrative tasks related to budgeting and reporting
