Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Must pass criminal, motor vehicle background checks and drug tests
  • Must meet airport background check requirements and obtain airport security badge
  • Legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction
  • Excellent vision and coordination
  • Must pass color vision test for aviation fuel inspection
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Commercial driver’s license may be required
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and follow management directives
  • Preferred 3-6 months experience or training in aviation/customer service or equivalent
  • Exceptional guest service orientation
  • Proficient English communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Physical capability to operate motor vehicles and equipment
  • Ability to follow multi-step instructions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration
  • Ability to multitask
  • Basic computer and software proficiency
  • Completion of training programs

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass company background checks including criminal and motor vehicle, drug tests, and meet airport background check requirements to maintain an airport security badge
  • Legally authorized to work in the employment jurisdiction
  • Excellent vision and coordination
  • Ability to pass color vision test for inspecting aviation fuel
  • Valid state driver’s license, commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required depending on location
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and follow directives from management
  • Preferred 3 to 6 months experience or training in aviation, customer service or related field
  • Excellent guest service skills with energetic, outgoing, and guest-obsessed personality
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate safety and operational instructions in English
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic
  • Physical ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment and work at elevated heights

Job Duties

  • Work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to meet service needs including fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power and potable water services, parking, marshalling, wing walking, catering delivery, and towing
  • Proactively prepare for arriving/departing aircraft, identify and perform open job tasks, and report observed safety concerns
  • Operate and drive ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, and stair trucks
  • Load and unload luggage and cargo into/out of aircraft and other transportation modes
  • Provide professional and friendly guest service with a positive attitude ensuring exceptional experiences
  • Offer safe and courteous transportation when driving shuttle vehicles
  • Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operations
  • Handle fuel receiving, quality control, inventory and maintain accurate documentation
  • Enforce operational, safety, and guest service requirements
  • Stop work to address unsafe conditions and report to management
  • Follow emergency response procedures during critical events
  • Comply with all security protocols including physical, cyber and data security
  • Maintain accurate records of time worked and services performed
