Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years old
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • intermediate computer skills
  • must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • must be able to verbally direct in English
  • successful completion of all IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training
  • must be able to speak and hear efficiently
  • a valid driver's license is required for this position
  • successful completion of the airport badging or background check process required for this location

Job Duties

  • ensure a safe environment during the de/anti-icing operation and make sure all company policies and procedures are being followed correctly
  • uphold and follow the duties related to de/anti-icing aircraft according to procedures for both airlines and IDS including inspecting aircraft for frozen contamination
  • participate in the pre-planning for the de/anti-ice event by performing checks on equipment, trucks, servicing equipment with fuel or glycol
  • ensure proper shutdown of pads, including paperwork and log books
  • log and report all maintenance issues to maintenance
  • follow all proper shutdown procedures for the equipment
