Job Requirements
- U.S. citizen
- graduate of a DoD component or FAA approved formal Air Traffic Controller school
- possess Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) certification
- possess Air Traffic Safety Oversight Service (AVO) certification
- possess Control Tower Operator (CTO) certification
- one year of specialized experience including assisting pilots with in-flight emergencies and operating certified tower display workstations
- provide proof of age documentation
- meet mandatory maximum entry age requirements unless eligible for waiver or reinstatement
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- provide assistance to pilots with in-flight emergencies
- operate certified tower display workstations to ensure proper control of air traffic
- perform Tower and Airspace Information Center Flight Following controller duties
- disseminate weather warnings, advisories, and other significant meteorological information to pilots
- issue Air Traffic Control clearances and instructions to maintain required separation and sequencing of all traffic
